A PENNY SAVED IS A PENNY EARNED
Just an FYI - do you know about direct banking savings accounts?
The idea is - as in ING Direct and several others - they only have about 11 brick and mortar buildings around the world so lots less overhead. Thousands fewer light bulbs, fewer employees, etc. This makes them able to pass along the savings to customers. My no fee, no minimum savings account still earns about 2% interest - used to be 5% but ... You can go to www.bankrate.com and search for direct banking rates. When you open your new interest paying savings account you can start to earn a couple bucks right away.
I am telling you this not only to allow you to make a few extra bucks on your savings but also to illustrate how my new lender works. They do not have any "inside representatives" and do mainly paperless files thereby eliminating a huge amount of overhead. What that means to borrowers, they offer rates usually .25% lower than anyone else! And we are the only ones in the northern part of WI working with this lender, hurray.
March 23rd the mortgage interest rate was lowered by another .125% in the afternoon.
And if you are a 1st time home buyer or a buyer that has not owned a home in the past 3 years you are eligible to apply for the governments new $8,000 tax credit too. Now that is saving you thousands!
And if you have or are willing to work for great credit scores - well you WIN!
Pretty good to say the least! You have to call and find out all the details. You deserve the best!
