Computer Virus Alert

Oh man! I got the bit by the Virus bug. Computer virus that is.

A couple of weeks ago my main office computer started displaying a booting screen ever once in a while, then becoming more frequently. I was able to open the computer and bypass the error screen until three days ago. Now it is at my computer dudes shop, being repaired. 

DJ (my computer dude) told me in the past three weeks he has had several of his clients with the same issue. Customers are getting nailed with virus's because most of the anit virus programs are too slow to disable them.

Down loading, sharing and online gaming are not the only infection culprits these days. DJ told me www.coldwellbanker.com has been infected and passing on the infection for the past 4 weeks. His firewall on his computer has also started sending up flags for www.ups.com. These are huge sites and this is how this thing is spreading so fast.

What to do? Simple, update all your anti virus software to current and up to date versions as they are making changes often to try to stop this thing. Then if you are accustom to running your scans weekly, change that habit to every other day or at least twice per week.

Better safe than sorry - a penny saved is a penny earned - I wonder how much this bit of knowledge will cost me? Hopefully it will cost you zero because you are now aware.
